We had Maddalyn's two month appointment on Monday and it all went very well. She weighs 9 lbs 15 ounces, is 23 inches long and her head is 35 cm around. She is in the 25% for weight, 75% for length and 50% for her head. She is long and skinny, but healthy and growing. It is such a miracle to be able to provide food and nourishment for this baby like I never have been able to before. Things just never really worked too great in the nursing realm of things with my other kids, but this time I have been able to feed Maddalyn. This is a blessing not only for my personal well being as a mom, but also financially with not having to buy formula. Formula is great and I am not one of those people who is anti-formula, but it is VERY expensive and it doesn't smell too great either. Not having to deal with that has been awesome!
Miranda is so dang cute, and is in love with her baby sister. She has decided that her baby that she got for Christmas is now named Maddowyn (her pronunciation) and she has to wrap her up, feed her and burp her just like mommy does with my baby. She has been a bot over zealous with the real Maddalyn and makes me frustrated almost constantly trying to pry her off of the baby and out of her face.
Miranda keeps me on my toes and makes me smile every day with the things she says. She loves the Mario game on the Wii and would play it all day every day if we let her, she gets that mostly from her dad.
Melody has been a big girl lately and has made my life a lot easier by being a good helper. She is going to be 5 years old a week from today and I am having a hard time coming to grips with that fact. She loves school and she loves playing with her friends especially her cousin MaKayla.
Tommy is my big baby boy, he is so sweet. He gives me big dinosaur hugs and kisses and he always lets me love him. He is such a boy and loves guns, swords, dinosaurs and robots. He is very sensitive and gets his feelings hurt easily. He loves to ride his bike fast and to be outside.
I am so blessed. I am to happy to be a mom and to have healthy happy kids. What a wonderful time in my life.
