Four year old's are not supposed to be losing teeth already, are they???

Melody is almost exactly 4 and 1/2 years old and has officially lost one of her bottom from teeth. This turned out to be a good thing because the new tooth is coming in right under the other. I was under the impression for the longest time that she had knocked that tooth loose by playing tug of war with her jump rope like a puppy (i.e. in her teeth). We were all stressed out that we were going to have to get the dentist to put in a false tooth as a filler to save room for the other teeth in order to avoid major crookedness. It came out and the other one was right there and is now about 1/4 of the way out. Now the tooth right next to that one is wiggling! She is getting too big for my liking. It is bad enough that she is very tall for her age group and looks like a 5 or 6 year old, but now her mouth thinks it is that old too. She doesn't even have any of that baby chub left in her face:( I am so happy she is healthy and happy, but I would appreciate also being little for a little longer, is that too much to ask for?
