Christmas lights!!

We went down town tonight for family night to see the Christmas lights on Temple Square. They were all so beautiful and there is sucha wonderful feeling on that sacred ground.

Melody was ofcouse more interested in the fountains than in the lights, but at least she had fun. We did have a bit of drama getting ehr to hold one of our hands the entire time. Danny tired to put her up on his shoulders, but she was having none of that. We also tried to let her ride in the stroller and let Miranda ride on his shoulders, but that was not to her satsfaction either. I swear there were at least three couple who walked by and starred as the screaming ensued. One of them has a pretty small baby and they looked totally mortified that someone would "allow" there child to behave that way. I had to smile and say to myself that they will know soon enough how it is to have a 2 year old. The good news ias that for the most part all was calm and happy.

Melody is really starting to be a lot of fun. She has found reciently that she loves Horseys, and seeing the horse drawn cxarriages aroung Temple Square was a treat.

I am also pleased to announce that we are making some real progress with ehr verbal skills and pronunciation. She said the L sound perfectly for the first time today. And we are trying real hard to get her to slow down when she is trying to say something because when she does you can actually understand her. She also is getting to know each of her letters and can sing the Alphabet song with only a little help. It is so thrilling.

Tommy and Randi are not as far advanced in speech as most kids thier age, but thier doctor assured me that twins are usually slow in that area. and that just like everything else with twins speaking also is on it's own schedual. They do ahve there own little jargin and it is so cute to here them jabbering away with one another in the morning in thier room when they wake up or when there are in there high chairs for meal time. They are little characters.
